MAUSTETYTÖT

Maustetytöt’s music is an irresistible combination of catchy melodies and hyper-realistic lyrics that one can relate to. Maustetytöt released their debut single “Tein kai lottorivini väärin” in early 2019. The song immediately became a hit, and has been streamed over 10 million times. Maustetytöt has released three albums so far. Each of the awarded albums has been featured on Finland’s best-selling album charts and has led to hundreds of sold-out concerts.

With a global audience, Maustetytöt has been on tour in France, Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic and Italy, in addition to Finland. Their international audience has grown recently with their collaboration with the legendary band “Agents.” As well as their recent collaboration with iconic director Aki Kaurismäki in his Oscar-nominated film Fallen Leaves. 

We will be showing Fallen Leaves before the concert at 17:30. The film tells the story of two lonely people (Alma Pöysti and Jussi Vatanen) who meet by chance. one night in Helsinki. Both are searching for the love of their lives, and are particularly struck by each other. Of course, life isn’t that simple, as the couple must overcome various obstacles in the hope of seeing each other again.

This gentle tragicomedy can be seen as the “fourth part” of Aki Kaurismäki’s worker trilogy (“Shadows in Paradise,”  “Ariel,” and “The Girl from the Match Factory”).
